【브레이크뉴스 】박영재 기자= 주낙영 경주시장은 추석 연휴가 시작되는 30일 지역 내 현업기관 근무자들을 방문해 격려의 말을 전했다.
이날 경주시에 따르면 오전 시청 종합상황실을 방문한 주 시장은 근무자들을 격려하며, “추석 연휴기간 시민과 경주를 찾는 관광객이 불편함 없이 따뜻하고 편안한 연휴를 보낼 수 있도록 근무에 최선을 다해 주기를 바란다”고 당부했다.
이어 경주소방서, 환경복지회관, 경주시보건소, 경주경찰서, 개인택시모범운전자회, 시외터미널 등지를 방문해 연휴도 반납한 채 시민들의 안전과 교통 등 편의를 위해 현장에서 땀 흘리는 현업기관 근무자들을 위로하고 감사의 인사를 전했다.
이날 방문에는 지역발전을 위해 노력하는 김석기 국회의원과 서호대 경주시의회 의장도 동행해 연휴기간 수고하는 근무자들을 따뜻하게 위로하고 격려했다.
주낙영 경주시장은 “사회적 거리두기로 경주를 방문하는 귀성객이나 관광객이 많지 않더라도 코로나19 예방과 대응, 시민안전과 도시질서, 쾌적한 환경이 현장에서 종사하시는 분들의 헌신적 노력으로 인해 계속 유지될 것”이라며 현업기관 종사자들의 노고에 거듭 감사와 격려를 보냈다.
