【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도는 지난 4일 개최된‘코로나19 중앙재난안전대책본부 회의’에서 이철우 도지사가 국무총리에게 도내 신설 마스크 생산업체의 인증 절차와 마스크 수출 허가 관련 제도개선을 건의했다고 5일 밝혔다.
경상북도에 따르면 이 지사는 “경북지역은 섬유산업이 발달 된 곳이여서 마스크를 생산할 수 있는 원단확보가 용이하고, 마스크 생산의 공장 전환이 쉽기 때문에 지역에 마스크 공장이 많이 생기고 있는 현실이다” 면서 “생산 업체의 마스크 인증에 절차와 시간이 많이 소요 되어, 생산 된 마스크의 수출 수요가 많음에도 불구하고 수출량은 1일 생산량의 30%만 수출이 가능하고 수출허가 기준이 많이 제한되어 있다”며 코로나19의 국내 마스크 수급 상황에 맞게 기준을 완화해 줄 것을 건의 했다.
특히 “구미지역의 경우 마스크 생산 업체가 50여곳 정도로 식약처의 마스크 인증 지연 및 산업부의 해외 판로 제한으로 업체들이 어려움을 겪고 있는 현실이다”며 국내 마스크 수급동향이 안정적인 상황을 감안해 수출허가의 조건도 변해야 함을 거듭 강조하며 건의했다.
한편 경북도에서는 현재 마스크 공장이 지속적으로 증가 추세에 있고, 수출 물량을 받아 놓고도 인증절차 지연에 공장 가동을 못하고 있는 지역 기업의 애로사항을 듣고, 대구지방식약청에 허가 담당 직원이 1명이였던 것을 허가의 신속한 처리를 위해 3명으로 증원 배치 해 줄 것을 적극 건의 하였고, 대구지방식약청에서도 담당인원을 3명으로 보충해 마스크 허가에 신속을 기하고 있다.
이에 정세균 국무총리는 코로나19 안정에 마스크 업계가 기여한 공이 크며, 국내 마스크 기업 보호차원과 코로나로 인해 국내 기업들의 수출이 부진한 것을 감안하여 식약처와 산업부에서 적극적으로 검토해 줄 것을 지시했다.
