【브레이크뉴스 포항】오주호 기자=포항시 지속가능발전협의회(이하 ‘지속협’)는 코로나19 감염 차단을 위한 사회적 거리두기에 따라 비대면 서면 동의 의결 방식으로 제7대 포항시 지속가능발전협의회 신임 공동대표(이준택, 박해자)를 선출했다고 11일 밝혔다.

지속가능발전협의회는 사회, 경제, 환경 분야가 조화롭게 발전하는 지속가능한 미래를 위한 실천사업 추진과 거버넌스 역할을 하는 기구로 신임 공동대표의 임기는 오는 2022년 10월까지 2년간이다.

이준택 신임 공동대표는 지역 언론사 부사장, 국회사무처 부이사관을 지냈으며, 현재 포항문화원 이사로 활동하고 있다. 박해자 신임 공동대표는 前여성단체협의장을 지냈으며, 현재 재향군인회 여성회장으로 활동하고 있다.

지속가능발전은 환경보전, 경제발전, 사회통합이 균형을 이루며 시정 주요정책을 통합적 관점에서 우리 시가 지속가능한 도시로의 변모할 수 있도록 노력하고 있다. 이놔 함께 포항형 지속가능발전(P-SDGs) 특성을 반영한 12개 목표를 수립해 이행과제를 추진 중이다.

신임 공동대표는 소통과 협력을 통해 포항시 지속가능발전위원회(2019년 5월 창립총회) 및 읍·면·동 지역위원회와 함께 지속가능발전 중점과제 이행을 위해 포항시의 민선 7기 후반기 정책방향과 상호 소통하며 새로운 변화와 활력을 일으킬 수 있도록 헌신하겠다는 각오를 밝혔다.

이강덕 포항시장은 지난 8일 시청 대외협력실에서 새로 선출된 지속협 공동대표에게 위촉장을 수여하고 “새로운 변화와 지속가능 도시를 위한 공감대 확산을 위한 노력”을 당부했다.
