【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항여성회가 경북 유일한 생존 일본군 ‘위안부’ 피해자인 박필근 할머니와 가족의 구술 생애사를 바탕으로 만든 '창작 판소리 박필근뎐'을 일반에 공개한다.
'창작 판소리 박필근뎐'은 한터울(국악), 이화무용단(무용)이 음향 및 조명(하늘소리), 영상(PBC프로덕션)을 맡아 진행했다. 총연출과 대본은 포항여성회 금박은주 대표가 맡았다.
경북 유일한 일본군 ‘위안부’ 피해 생존자인 박필근 할머니는 올해 93세로 죽장면에 거주하고 있다. 박 할머니는 16살에 일본에 강제로 끌려가 혹독한 고통을 받다 목숨을 건 2번의 탈출 끝에 위안소에서 벗어나 일본에 온 한국인 부부의 도움으로 다시 고향인 죽장으로 돌아왔다.
하지만 위안부로 끌려가기 전 부잣집 딸이었던 박필근 할머니의 인생은 다시 돌아온 고향에서 험난한 인생을 살게된다. 결혼을 해 딸 여섯에 아들 하나를 낳고 살았지만, 36살에 남편이 죽고 다섯 명의 딸을 홍역과 전염병으로 잃고 말았다.
이후 살아남은 두 자녀와 가난하고 힘겨운 삶을 살아왔다. 하지만 할머니는 남에게 손 벌리지 않고 오롯이 자신의 손덕으로 한 평생 부지런하게 살아 왔다.
지금도 할머니는 “어매 우리는 언제 쌀밥 한번 묵어보는교?” 라고 했던 어린 아들의 목소리가 생생하다며 가난하게 키웠던 두 자녀들을 생각하며 울기도 한다.
박 할머니는 “내가 눈물을 흘렸으면 거랑물이 넘쳤고, 내가 사연을 썼으면 서울에서 두루마리로 써도 여기까지 다 못 썼니더, 내가 한숨을 쉬었으면 찬바람이 됐을끼시더” 라는 이야기를 자주 한다.
지금 박 할머니의 두 자녀분들 모두 안정적으로 생활하고 있는 것으로 알려졌다. 비록 할머니는 강제로 끌려간 ‘위안부’의 생활을 했지만, 삶에 대한 강한 의지로 역경과 고난을 이기고 위대한 삶을 살고 있다.
