【브레이크뉴스 경북 구미】이성현 기자=공익법인 한국도레이과학진흥재단(이사장 이영관은 지난 22일 서울 마곡 한국도레이R&D센터에서 제3회 한국도레이 과학기술상 시상식을 개최했다고 23일 밝혔다.

이날 시상식에는 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증 예방을 위해 수상자 및 가족, 재단 관계자 등 최소인원만 참석했으며, 마스크 착용, 체온 측정 등 코로나19 방역수칙을 철저히 준수하며 진행됐다.

 
  과학기술상은 기초부문에 남원우 이화여대 석좌교수, 응용부문에 조길원 포항공대 교수로 각각 상금 1억원과 상패를 받았다.

 
연구기금은 기초부문에 조은진 중앙대 교수, 이기라 성균관대 교수, 응용부문에 김신현 KAIST 교수, 오준학 서울대 교수 등 4개팀으로 매년 연구비 5천만원씩을 3년간 지원받는다. 

 
이영관 이사장은 인사말에서 유례없는 변화의 시대에 인류가 직면한 과제 해결을 위한 과학의 역할과 중요성을 강조하며, 앞으로도 지속적인 정진으로 더 큰 업적을 이루기를 바란다고 말했다.

 
닛카쿠 아키히로(日覺昭廣) 도레이 사장은 축하영상에서 한국도레이과학진흥재단이 한국의 과학진흥과 인재육성으로 사회에 공헌하고 한일 양국의 우호증진에도 기여하기를 기대한다고 전했다.

 
한국도레이과학진흥재단은 매년 과학기술상과 연구과제를 공개접수 받아 평생 업적의 우수성과 공헌도, 과제의 창의성 위주로 심사하며, 2018년부터 과학기술상 6명을 선정했으며 연구기금은 12팀을 계속 지원하고 있다.
