【브레이크뉴스 경북 경산】이성현 기자=대구대학교 산학협력단(단장 박세현)는 지역 게임산업 발전을 위해 (사)경북게임콘텐츠산업협회(회장 최형국)와 상호 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 28일 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 지난 10월 27일 경북테크노파크 본부동 2층 국제회의실에서 열린 ‘5차 경북 게임기업 간담회 및 경북 게임 콘텐츠 기업 성장지원 및 상생협력을 위한 업무협약’ 행사의 일환으로 진행됐다.
이번 행사에서는 경북 게임기업 및 사업담당자 등을 대상으로 올해 지원사업 안내 및 내년 신규 아이디어 발굴 등을 위한 논의가 진행됐으며, 유관기관 간 업무협약 체결이 이뤄졌다.
(재)경북테크노파크 경북글로벌게임센터(센터장 류종우)는 경북스마트모바일앱개발지원센터(센터장 류정탁)와, 대구대 산학협력단은 경북게임콘텐츠산업협회와 협약을 체결하며 원활한 사업 추진을 위해 함께 힘을 모으기로 했다.
특히 대구대 산학협력단과 경북게임콘텐츠산업협회는 지역 게임산업 활성화를 위해 각종 게임 콘텐츠 행사를 공동 주관하기로 하고, 이에 필요한 인적·물적 인프라를 공동 활용키로 했다.
또한 대구대 내에 위치한 경북스마트모바일앱개발지원센터는 경북글로벌게임센터와의 협약을 계기로 모바일 벤처 및 개발자들의 스마트 모바일 앱 개발 테스트베드로서의 기능을 더욱 강화할 것으로 기대된다.
박세현 대구대 산학협력단장은 “4차 산업혁명 시대에 유망한 게임 산업은 지역 경제 활성화와 청년 일자리 창출을 위해 놓쳐서는 안 될 중요한 분야이다”라며 “경북 게임 콘텐츠 기업의 성장지원과 상생 협력을 위해 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.
