【브레이크뉴스 경북 경산】이성현 기자=대구대학교는 지난 10월 31일 패션디자인학과(학과장 최영림) 윤선애 학생(4학년)이 부산 벡스코에서 열린 ‘2020년 제9회 국제디지털패션콘테스트’에서 대상인 산업통상자원부 장관상을 수상했다고 6일 밝혔다.

‘Unemotional(감정을 드러내지 않은)’이란 작품으로 대상을 수여 받아 대구대 패션디자인학과는 2018년 정상윤 학생, 2019년 김서우 학생에 이어 3년 연속 대상 수상자를 배출했다.

한국의류산업학회 주최·주관으로 열린 이 대회는 4차 산업혁명시대 3D 가상 피팅 기술의 발전에 따라 디지털 패션 기술의 저변 확대 및 인재 발굴을 위한 권위 있는 대회다.

대상작인 ‘Unemotional’이란 작품은 다양한 감정 중에서 드러내지 못하고 속으로 숨기고 있는 감정을 컨셉으로 의상을 디자인한 작품이다.

윤선애 학생은 “대구대 패션디자인학과가 디지털 패션 분야에서 전국 최고라는 사실에 자부심을 느꼈다”면서 “패션 분야에서 가장 최근에 도입된 최신 기술을 학교에서 배울 수 있도록 해주신 지도 교수님께 감사드린다”고 말했다.

이 학과는 대상 외에도 최우수상(손혜진), 우수상(강재훈, 엄기은, 조민지), 장려상(강소미, 김나혜, 김민지, 김보람, 박민지, 박아람, 이용빈, 최상혁), 특선(강희진 외 6명), 입선(서영교 외 18명) 등 다수 학생들이 무더기 수상을 하며 디지털 패션 분야 명문 학과임을 입증했다.

이에 앞서 지난 10월 이 학과 학생들은 또 다른 디지털 패션 분야 대회인 ‘3D 크리에이티브 디자인 경진대회'에서 은상(박아람)과 KTTA협회장상(김서우, 김수빈, 윤나영, 이지은)을 수상하는 등 두각을 나타내기도 했다.

대구대 패션디자인학과는 국내 유명 캐드 개발사인 ㈜클로버추얼패션의 후원으로 정규 교과목은 물론, 비교과과정, 취업동아리 운영을 통해 3D 의상 캐드를 집중 교육하며 디지털 패션 교육을 선도해 가고 있다.

3D 의상 캐드 교과목을 담당하고 취업동아리를 지도하고 있는 최영림 학과장은 “정규교과목으로는 부족한 실습 시간을 비교과과정으로 보충했고, 선배들의 취업 성공 사례가 후배들에게 동기부여가 돼 더욱 자발적인 참여가 이어지는 것이 수상 비결”이라고 전했다.
