지난해까지는 관내 중·고등학교 동아리가 한 자리에 모여 서로의 끼를 자랑하고 공유하는 축제의 장을 만들었었다. 그러나 올해는 코로나19로 인해 대면 행사가 어려워짐에 따라 비대면으로 개최한다.

코로나19의 장기화에 따라 등교와 원격수업을 병행하는 동안 학교 교육활동 중 가장 큰 어려움을 겪은 영역이 체험활동이었다. 체험활동의 어려움 속에서도 학교 현장에서 일구어낸 각양각색의 동아리활동을 올해는 영상으로 담아 이번 축제 기간동안 중·고등학교 전체 221교와 함께 공유할 예정이다.

사전에 공모한 100개의 동아리들은 활동 과정 영상을 찍어서 창의적체험활동지원센터 홈페이지를 통해 공개하고, 대구고의 ‘WHY(호기심해결)동아리’, 대평중의 ‘해피 부냐 젬베 동아리’등 10개의 동아리는 축제 기간 중 창의적체험활동 시간에 활동 모습을 유튜브(대구미래교육연구원채널)를 통해 실시간 방영해 비대면이지만 많은 학생들이 함께 참여할 수 있게 했다.

아울러 영상 속 동아리활동을 함께 할 수 있도록 ▲친환경 클레이 비누 만들기,▲석고 방향제 만들기, ▲애견 피부보습 천연 비누, ▲아크릴무드등 만들기 등의체험키트를 희망학교에 지원해 온라인을 넘어 오프라인으로 연결되는 축제를 만들어 간다. 또한 ‘QR 코드’를 통해 학생들은 축제 기간 내 소감문 쓰기 등 직접 참여의 기회도 제공된다.

축제 개막 때는 자신의 꿈을 포기하지 않고 꾸준히 쌓아서 지금은 대한민국의 가장 핫한 트롯맨이 된 가수 이찬원과 배우 차은우가 코로나19로 힘든 시간을 보내고 있는 대구학생들의 꿈을 응원하는 축하영상도 상영된다.

대구시교육청은 동아리 활동 영상을 축제 기간 이후에도 학교현장에서 창의적체험활동 시간에 활용할 수 있도록 12월 24일까지 창의적체험활동지원센터 홈페이지에 탑재해 놓을 계획이다.

강은희 교육감은 “자칫 코로나로 힘들어 할 수 있었던 현실 속에서도 학생들이 꿈을 이루기 위해 자신의 ‘끼’를 매일매일 성장시켜 가고 있음을 이번 축제에서 확인할 수 있을 것이다”며, “대구교육청은 학생들의 ‘꿈과 끼’를 마음껏 펼칠 수 있도록 언제나 응원하고 지원할 것이다”고 말했다.
