【브레이크뉴스 포항】오주호 기자=지난 9일부터 10일까지 진행된 2020년 1차 조정국가대표선발전에서 포항시 소속 조정부팀 정혜리 선수와 권민주 선수가 국가대표로 선발됐다.

조정국가대표 선발 종목에는 4개 종목(남자 경량급 4명, 중량급 4명, 여자 경량급 4명, 중량급 4명)으로 총 16명을 선발한다.

여자 경량급에 출전한 정혜리 선수(27세)는 한국체대를 졸업하고 2017년 포항시청에 입단해 실업선수 생활을 시작했다. 입단과 동시에 국가대표로 선발되어 팔렘방 아시안게임 동메달 획득, 99회․100회 전국체육대회 우승 후 이번 국가대표선발전에서 당당하게 1위로 선발되며, 내년 도쿄올림픽 출전에 전망을 밝게 했다.

여자 중량급에 출전한 권민주 선수(20세)는 2020년 포항시에 입단한 실업 1년 차 선수로, 대구 호산고등학교 시절 전국체전 여고부에서 싱글스컬 종목에서 3위로 입상하며 두각을 나타내기 시작해 입단 7개월 차인 올해 7월 화천평화배 전국조정대회에서 4위를 차지하고, 이번 국가대표 선발전에서 4위로 선발됐다.
