【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구시교육청(교육감 강은희)은 오는 11월 14일 ‘자녀와 함께 행복하기’를 주제로 대구교육팔공산수련원에서 ‘숲으로 행복소풍!’ 가족캠프를 운영한다고 11일 밝혔다.

‘숲으로 행복소풍!’ 가족캠프는 초등학생 5, 6학년 학생 및 학부모 등 가족 15팀을 대상으로 하며, 다채로운 숲 체험을 통해 코로나 스트레스를 해소하고 가족 간 사랑을 다지는 시간을 가지게 된다.

이번 가족캠프에는 총 48팀이 지원해 치열한 경쟁을 뚫고 15팀의 가족이 선발되었으며, ‘오감? 나눠봄!, 꽃들에게 희망을, 미션! 런닝맨, 우리가족 행복나무’ 등 다양한 숲 속 활동을 통해 가족 간 따뜻한 교감을 나눈다.

대구시교육청은 2014년부터 청소년바로서기지원센터(사회적협동조합)와 함께 행복한 학교생활을 지원하기 위한 ‘체험형 숲치유 프로그램’을 매년 운영해왔다. 올해는 코로나19로 휴양림이 문을 닫으면서 ‘숲 체험’ 장소를 찾기 어려웠지만 대구시교육청 수련시설인 대구교육팔공산수련원을 활용해 캠프를 진행함으로써 ‘숲 체험’이라는 행사 본래의 의미를 살릴 수 있었다.

또한 사회적 거리두기를 철저히 지키기 위해 방역요원 3명을 배치해 참여한 가족들이 안전하게 가족캠프를 즐길 수 있도록 했다.

이번 프로그램에 참여하는 부모들은 “아이와 함께 숲 속 산책로를 걸으면서 서로의 속마음을 나눌 수 있는 기회가 될 것이다”며, “잠시나마 코로나를 잊게 해준 교육청에 감사드리며, 더 많은 학생과 학부모들에게 숲으로 행복 소풍을 올 수 있는 기회가 있었으면 좋겠다.”고 말했다.

대구시교육청 이점형 생활문화과장은 “숲 속 캠프를 통해 그동안 코로나로 지친 가족들이 조금이나마 힐링의 시간이 되기를 바란다”며, “앞으로도 대구교육가족의 행복을 위해 교육적 노력과 지원을 아끼지 않을 것”이라고 말했다.
