이번 약정 체결로 농협은행은 2021년부터 2024년까지 4년간 대구시교육청의 교육금고를 담당하게 된다.

이에 앞서, 시교육청은 지난달 22일 시의원, 대학교수, 공인회계사, 세무사, 공무원 등으로 구성된 금고지정심의위원회를 개최해, 농협은행이 제출한 제안서를 바탕으로 ‘대내외적 신용도 및 재무구조의 안정성’ 등 5개 항목을 평가하는 등 적격성 심의과정을 거쳐 농협은행을 교육금고로 선정했다.

농협은행은 약정기간 동안 연 4조원 규모의 대구시교육청 자금을 관리하며, 각종 세입금 및 세입세출외현금의 수납 및 지급 등을 담당하게 된다.
