【브레이크뉴스 포항】오주호 기자=(사)경북친환경농업인포항시연합회는 25일 포항시 농업인교육복지관에서 ‘2020 포항시 친환경농업인 연찬회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 연찬회는 친환경농업 육성을 위한 안정적인 농산물 생산․공급과 친환경농가의 교류와 친환경농업의 잠재성과 실천을 통해 친환경농업 분위기 확산과 안전농산물 생산체계로 지속적인 친환경 농산물 생산에 기여 하고자 마련됐다.
이날 연찬회에는 시․도의회 의원 및 농업관련 유관기관․단체장, 친환경농업인 등 100여 명이 참여해 각종 시책교육과 최신 친환경농업 기술 등의 정보를 교류했다.
또한 ‘친환경농업이 가져다준 지역운동’이라는 주제로 친환경농산물자조금 운영위원장의 강의에 이어 한국친환경농업협회 교육국장의 ‘공익형직불제 바로알기’ 특강을 진행했다.
포항시는 친환경 농산물 생산면적이 경북 도내 2~3위를 차지할 만큼 앞서가고, 친환경농업육성을 위해 친환경농자재 지원, 무농약 지속 지불금 지원 등 사람과 환경을 살리는 안전먹거리 생산에 박차를 가하고 있다.
포항시 농업기술센터 관계자는 “세계적 철강산업도시로 알려진 포항의 또 다른 매력은 동해안 청정지역에서 생산되는 친환경농산물이며, 이번 연찬회를 통해 포항지역의 친환경농업이 더욱 확산 보급되어 소비자들도 친환경농산물에 대한 이해를 높이는 계기가 될 것”이라고 말했다.
