먼저 공사는 지난 11월 28일 DTRO 장학생, 다문화가정 청소년, 새터민 60여 명을 초청해 대구오페라하우스에서 오페라‘세비야의 이발사’공연을 관람하는 행사를 가졌다. 이번 행사는 공사와 오페라하우스간 사회공헌분야 협력 강화를 위한 업무협약에 따라 진행됐다.
또한 12월 1일에는 연말 사랑의 김장 나눔 행사에도 동참해 상인종합복지관에 김장재료 구입비 300만 원을 기부했다. 이 행사는 매년 직원들이 모여 직접 김장을 담그고 인근 저소득 가정에 배달까지 했으나, 올해는 코로나19 확산 방지를 위해 김장 재료비만 지원했다.
대구도시철도공사 사장 홍승활은“이번 행사가 날씨가 추워지면서 특히 코로나19로 힘겨워하는 어려운 이웃들의 겨울나기에 조금이나마 보탬이 되었으면 한다”며“내년에는 다시 이웃들과 함께 김장을 담그며 따뜻한 마음을 나눌 수 있기를 기원한다”고 말했다.
