건협, 인도네시아 아체州 초등학교 위생시설 지원

【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=한국건강관리협회(회장 채종일, 이하 “건협”)는 한국국제협력단(KOICA, 이사장 이미경)민관협력사업으로 실시하고 있는 인도네시아 초등학생 건강증진 지원의 일환으로지난 11월 인도네시아 아체(Aceh)州 반다아체(Banda Aceh) 및 아체베사르(Aceh Besar) 지역 초등학교에 화장실과 개수대 설치를 완공했다고 4일 밝혔다.

이번 지원은 코로나19 대응을 위한것으로, KOICA와 함께 약 1억 2천만원 규모로 진행했다.

 

화장실은 학생들의 접근성과 위생을 최우선으로고려하여 사업대상학교 11개교에 2개월 기간의 공사를 거쳐 완공됐다. 학생들의 손 씻기 일상화를 위한 개수대는 사업대상학교 30개교에 2개씩 총 60개가 설치됐다. 이외에도 집합시설의 코로나19 예방에 즉시 활용할수 있도록고성능 비접촉식 체온계 110개를 현지 보건국에 지원했다.

 

건협 채종일 회장은“전 세계에서 유행중인 코로나19 상황에서 특히 어려움을 겪고 있는아체지역 초등학생들의 건강한 성장을 위해 현지지역정부와 학교에 도움이 될 수 있어 기쁘다. 앞으로도KOICA와 함께 지속적으로 개발도상국 국민들의 건강증진을 위해 노력해나가겠다”고 말했다.

 

한편 초등학교 화장실 완공식이 지난 11월 26일 아체(Aceh)州 정부 Ichwanul Fitri 학교보건위원장등 27명의 현지 학교보건관계자가 참석한 가운데 아체베사르 SDN Lamreung 초등학교에서 개최됐다. 이 자리에서 Ichwanul Fitri 위원장은 코로나19로 전 세계가 어려움을겪는 와중에 아체지역의 코로나19 극복을 위해 반드시 필요한 지원을 해준KOICA와 건협측에 감사의 마음을 전했다

 

건협은 2012년부터 2017년까지 1, 2차에 걸쳐 6년간 인도네시아아체州 반다아체(Banda Aceh) 및 아체베사르(Aceh Besar) 지역에서 학생건강검진, 학교보건실 인프라구축 등 현지의 열악한 학교보건환경을 개선했다. 이와 같은 성과를 바탕으로 2018년부터는 학교보건관계자 역량강화교육을 중심으로 한 현지 학교보건시스템 강화에 주력하고 있다.

The toilet was completed after 2 months of construction at 11 schools for the project, taking students' accessibility and hygiene as the top priority. A total of 60 sinks were installed in 30 schools for students to wash their hands every day. In addition, 110 high-performance non-contact thermometers were provided to the local health department so that they can be immediately used for the prevention of Corona 19 in collective facilities.

 

Chae Jong-il, chairman of Konhyup, said, “We are pleased to be able to help local governments and schools for the healthy growth of elementary school students in Aceh, who are particularly struggling with the Corona 19 situation in the world. “I will continue to work with KOICA to improve the health of the people in developing countries.”

 

Meanwhile, the completion ceremony for the elementary toilet was held at SDN Lamreung Elementary School in Acehvesar on November 26, with 27 local school health officials including Ichwanul Fitri, the school health committee chairman of Aceh state government. At this meeting, Chairman Ichwanul Fitri expressed his gratitude to KOICA and the Health Cooperatives for providing necessary support for overcoming Corona 19 in Aceh in the midst of the world's difficulties due to Corona 19.

 

In the first and second phases from 2012 to 2017, the Konhyup has conducted student health check-ups in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar, Indonesia, for 6 years. Was improved.
