‘청아람 도서 꾸러미 나눔 사업’은 코로나19로 어려운 지역사회 내 저소득 가정 아이들이 경제적 사정으로 인해 꿈을 포기하지 않도록 굿네이버스 측에 중고도서를 지원하는 교육지원사업 캠페인을 말한다.

대구도시공사 임직원은 굿네이버스 대구경북본부에 도서를 전달하기 위해 개인 서재에서 잠자고 있는 영‧유아 및 청소년 도서 230권을 한 데 모았다.

대구도시공사는 수집한 도서를 모두 ‘기부키트’에 담아 굿네이버스 대구경북본부 측에 전달했다. 기부키트는 기부 도서를 담을 작은 상자를 말하는데, 도시공사 임직원은 이를 활용하여 책을 받을 학생들에게 추천사와 응원 메시지를 함께 전했다.

굿네이버스 대구경북본부는 지역 아동센터 등을 선정해 대구도시공사로부터 받은 도서를 순차적으로 기증할 예정이다.

대구도시공사 이종덕 사장은 “코로나19로 인해 교육 사각지대에 놓여 있는 학생들이 많은데, 이번에 전달한 책이 지역 청소년들의 꿈을 키우는 데 보탬이 되었으면 한다.”고 말하며, “앞으로도 시민들의 건강한 삶을 보장하기 위한 사회가치 창출 활동을 펼쳐 공기업으로서의 공적 기능을 수행해나갈 것.”이라고 밝혔다.
