이번 캠페인은 코로나19 위기 상황의 장기화에도 대면서비스를 중단 없이 펼치고 있는 보건의료 및 사회복지 종사자, 돌봄 종사자, 환경미화원, 배달업 종사자 등의 필수노동자들에게 응원과 격려를 위해 시작됐다.

경일대학교 정현태 총장으로부터 지명을 받은 변창훈 총장은 “코로나19 상황 속에서 많은 위험에 노출되며 일상유지를 위해 밤낮으로 땀 흘리고 있는 필수노동자 여러분들의 헌신과 노고에 진심으로 존경과 감사한 마음을 표한다”고 말했다.

변창훈 총장은 ‘고맙습니다. 필수노동자’캠페인 다음 주자로 대구보건대 남성희 총장과 대경대 이채영 총장을 지명했다.
