【브레이크뉴스 포항】오주호 기자=포항시는 7일 죽장면 스마일빌리지상옥에서 ‘죽장 배추’ 수출을 늘리기 위한 관계자 간담회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이날 간담회는 포항시, 경북통상(주), 에버그린, 농업인들이 참석한 가운데 2021년 수출계획 및 출하약정체결 설명, 질의·응답 순으로 진행됐다.
또한 본격적인 대량수출을 위해 농업인들의 수출 관련 의문 사항 해소에 중점을 두고 사전 작업에 돌입했다.
시는 지난해 ‘가을배추’ 수출에 성공한 경험을 바탕으로 올해 목표를 650톤 이상 수출 목표를 세우고 예냉시설을 갖추는 등 철저한 준비를 하고 있다.
포항 죽장지역은 준고랭지로 낮과 밤의 기온차가 커 육질이 단단하고 아삭한 식감이 좋아 해외 바이어들에게 좋은 호평을 받아 수출시장에서 경쟁력이 있을 것으로 확인됐다.
포항시 배성규 농식품유통과장은 “새해에는 행정력을 집중하고 공격적인 해외 마케팅으로 수출을 확대할 계획이라며, 앞으로 배추가 포항 수출 효자품목이 될 수 있도록 수출 전문단지를 단계적·전략적으로 육성하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 포항시는 지난해 사과, 무, 토마토, 쌀, 포도 등 신선농산물 510톤(10억1천만 원)의 수출실적을 올린 바 있다.
