【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구경북경제자유구역청(청장 최삼룡, 이하 ‘대경경자청’)은 지난 11일부터 14일까지 ‘CES 2021(국제전자제품 박람회 2021)’온라인 투자유치설명회에참가해 전기차 밧데리 소재 및 부품 관련 외국기업과 투자유치 네트워크를 강화하고 참가기업을 대상으로 1대1 투자유치(IR) 활동을 실시했다고 18일 밝혔다.

CES 2021은 ‘올 디지털(All-Digital)’이라는 컨셉으로 가상 공간에서 모든행사가 개최되었는데, 디지털 방식으로 전면 개최된 것은 1967년 이래 처음이다.

2000년대 이후 개최된 CES행사는 최신 IT 관련 기기와 기술의 전시장으로써 IT로 무장된 우리 인류의 미래를 한눈에 볼 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 글로벌 기술 테크 기업 및 기술 스타트업이 한 치의 양보도 없이 경쟁을 벌이는 무대이기도 하다.

이번 CES 2021 행사에서 대경경자청은 전기차 밧데리 관련 글로벌 및 스타트업 기업들과의 온라인 1대1 투자유치(IR) 활동에 집중하였으며, 특히지난 1월 13일 중국 기업과의 미팅에서는 장기적으로 밧데리 시스템 관련 지역기업과 합작투자(JV, Joint Venture)의 가능성을 확인하기도 하였다. 행사 기간이 끝나는 1월 14일 이후에도 동 행사에 참가한 전기차 관련 기업들과 온라인 투자유치(IR) 활동을 이어나갈 예정이다.

이와 더불어 대경경자청장과 직원들은 1월 15일오전 9시부터 오후 1시까지 실리콘밸리 현지에서 진행된 ‘CES 2021 디브리핑 라이브 세미나’에도 온라인으로 참가했다.

CES 2021 디브리핑 세미나는 CES 2021의 주요 이슈 및 클라우드, 인공지능, 가상현실, 메타버스, 모빌리티 및 5G를 포함한 산업별 기술 진전 현황을 해당 분야 전문가들이 참여하여 자세히 설명하고 향후 비즈니스 기회를 분석하는 세미나로, 대경경자청의 참여자들은 세계 경제흐름 및 미래 산업 동향을 파악할 수 있는 시간이었다고 전했다.

최삼룡 대경경자청장은 “스페인의 MWC, 독일의 IFA와 함께 세계 3대 IT 전시회로 손꼽히는 CES를 코로나19로 인해 디지털 방식으로 참관한 색다른경험이었으며, 코로나 19 상황이 장기화될 것으로 예측됨에 따라 대경경자청은 올해 CES와 같은 세계 우수 전시회 및 박람회 참가를 통해 온・오프라인 병행 투자유치(IR) 활동에 집중하여 투자유치 성과가 코로나 이전 수준까지 제고될 수 있도록 최선을 다할 것” 이라고 밝혔다.
