경주엑스포, ‘인피니티 플라잉’ 10주년 공연 시작은 서울서

【브레이크뉴스 경북 경주】이성현 기자=경주엑스포대공원에서 세계 최초로 로봇팔과 3D홀로그램을 접목해 극한의 퍼포먼스와 코믹한 연기로 상설 공연되던 ‘인피니티 플라잉’이 서울 국립중앙박물관 극장 ‘용’에서 10주년 기념공연이 지난 5일 막을 올리고 오는 28일까지 무대를 이어간다.

(재)문화엑스포(이사장 이철우 경북도지사)에 따르면 ‘인피니티 플라잉’은 지난 2011년 경주세계문화엑스포 주제 공연 ‘플라잉’으로 첫 선을 보인 후 경주엑스포대공원에서 상설공연으로 지속해 경주와 경북을 대표하는 공연으로 자리매김했다. 올해 10주년을 맞아 이를 기념하고 수도권에 홍보하기 위한 차원으로 특별 공연을 마련했다.

 

‘인피니티 플라잉’은 ‘난타’와 ‘점프’, ‘셰프’ 등을 연출한 대한민국을 대표하는 넌버벌(無대사) 공연 제작자 최철기 감독과 경주엑스포가 함께 제작한 공연이다.

 

알찬 무대 구성과 화려한 액션으로 무장하고 경주엑스포대공원 상설공연뿐만 아니라 국내 55개 도시 및 터키, 홍콩, 대만, 싱가포르 등 해외 8개국 등을 넘나들며 10년 동안 2,000회 이상의 공연을 선보여 90만 명의 누적 관람객을 유치해 명실상부한 경주와 경북의 대표 퍼포먼스로 자리매김했다.  

 

기계체조와 리듬체조, 비보잉 등을 수련한 배우들이 펼치는 액션과 상설공연으로는 세계 최초로 로봇팔과 3D홀로그램을 접목해 다른 공연에서는 만나 볼 수 없는 환상적인 액션을 선보이며 관람객의 눈을 사로잡는다.

특히 이번 서울 특별공연은 리듬체조 국가대표로 출전해 2015년 제7회 아시아 리듬체조선수권대회 팀 경기 은메달을 획득한 천송이 선수가 특별 출연해 극의 구성을 한층 더 끌어올린다.

 

와이어를 탄 배우가 무대와 객석 위를 날아다니는 모습과 국가대표 출신 배우의 액션이 어우러진 극한의 퍼포먼스를 통해 잊을 수 없는 감동을 선사한다.

 

이번 공연은 코로나19로 인한 사회적 거리두기 연장으로 인해 동행자 외 두 자리 띄워 앉기와 마스크 의무착용, 발열체크, 매회 객석 소독 등 철저한 방역 아래 진행된다.

 

월요일을 제외한 평일 오후 1회와 토요일 오후 2회, 일요일 1회 등 총 24회 공연이 열리고, 공연 관람요금은 코로나 극복을 위한 국민행복 가격을 적용해 전석을 50%할인한다. 온라인 티켓 예매사이트를 통해 VIP석은 3만원, S석은 2만원에 구입할 수 있다.

 

서울공연을 주관하는 페르소나 경주사업부분 황근생 대표는 “10년간 경주에서 공연을 지속하면서 지역민과 관광객의 많은 사랑을 받았고 지방에서 이처럼 장기 공연을 이어간 것은 ‘인피니티 플라잉’이 유일하다”며 “10주년 기념 특별 공연인 만큼 지역을 대표한다는 마음으로 사명감을 갖고 서울에서도 최고의 퍼포먼스를 선보일 수 있도록 하겠다” 고 전했다.
