【브레이크뉴스 경주】박영재 기자=경주시가 문무대왕릉과 경주읍성 등 사적지 정비사업에 올 한해에만 사업비 167억원을 배정하면서 탄력을 받을 전망이다.

 

7일 경주시에 따르면 지난해에만 토지 60필지(6만 3100㎡)와 건물 11동을 매입한데 이어, 올해 들어서는 토지 9필지(1만 281㎡)와 건물 1동을 매입하는 성과를 이뤄냈다.

 

이에 따라 미관을 해치던 문무대왕릉 인근 상가와 경주읍성 주변 건물도 매입해 지난 1월에 철거를 마무리했다.

 

특히 통일신라시대 가마와 고분이 집단적으로 남아 있는 것으로 확인된 손곡동·물천리 유적지 84만 5035㎡를 한국마사회 측과 협의해 다음달 중으로 소유권을 넘겨받을 계획이다.

 

또 보상 진행이 부진한 곳에 대해서는 연말까지 소유주를 설득해 부지 매입 절차를 마무리 짓겠다는 방침이다.

 

이밖에도 신라시대 고분이 밀집한 △황남동 △황오동 △인왕동 △노동 △노서동 일대 토지 보상도 신속히 추진한다는 계획이다.

 

시가 밝힌 토지보상계획을 살펴보면 △손곡동·물천리 유적지 418필지, 면적 84만 5035㎡ 매입에 42억원 △문무대왕릉 7필지, 면적 3189㎡(건물 10동 포함) 매입에 22억원 △낭산 15필지, 2만 1725㎡(건물 2동 포함) 매입에 19억원 △남고루 4필지, 면적 2095㎡(건물 4동 포함) 매입에 10억원 △감은사지 2필지, 면적 1729㎡ 매입에 1억원 △원원사지 3필지, 면적 2728㎡ 매입에 3억원 △대릉원 일원 5필지(건물 4동 포함) 매입에 45억원 △인왕동사지 3필지, 면적 4229㎡ 매입에 10억원 △경주읍성 면적 807㎡(건물 4동 포함) 매입에 15억원 등 총 167억원 규모다.         


주낙영 경주시장은 “토지 소유주들과 지속적인 소통을 가져 조속히 보상 절차를 마무리하고 사업을 차질없이 진행해 역사문화도시 경주의 위상 정립을 위해 노력하겠다”라며 시민들의 적극적인 협조를 당부했다.
