【브레이크뉴스 경북 구미】이성현 기자=강은호 방위사업청장이 12일 구미시청을 방문해 구미방위산업의 미래와 도약을 위한 방안을 모색하는 등 구미에 대한 관심과 기대를 표명했다.
구미시에 따르면 이 날 방위사업청장은 다파고를 실시하기 위해 엘씨텍(주)을 첫 방문지로 찾았다.
다파고(DAPA-Go)는 방산 수출을원스톱으로 지원하기 위해 청장을 비롯한 방위사업청(DAPA)의 주요 직위자가 기업을 방문하여(Go) 의견을 듣고 개선안을 7일 이내에 답변하는 프로그램이다.
이후 구미에 있는 방산중소기업에 기술·경영을 지원해주는 구미국방벤처센터를 들러 협약기업과 구미방위산업 현황과 국가정책 등에 대한 간담회를 가졌다.
한편으로는 구미방산대기업인 한화시스템과 LIG넥스원을 차례로 방문하여 소통하고 수출 관련 토의를 가지는 등 구미방산중소기업과 대기업 모두의 상황과 애로점을 파악하는 모습을 보여줬다.
방위사업청장은 구미시청을 방문해서는 구미방위산업발전 방향과 구미방위산업의 미래에 관해 이야기했다.
이 만남에서 장세용 구미시장은 구미는 산업의 형태가 IT·전자 산업이 기반인 동시에 방위산업이 집중된 도시임을 강조하여 방산혁신클러스터사업의 적격지임을 피력하고 구미 유치를 건의했다.
그리고 2021년 1월에 설립된 방위산업기술진흥연구소의 구미 이전도 함께 건의했다.
