이번 투자양해각서 체결로 ㈜포스코케미칼은 영일만4 일반산업단지 내 이차전지 양극재 생산공장 신설을 추진하게 된다.

 

이날 협약식에는 이강덕 포항시장을 비롯해 이철우 경상북도지사와 민경준 ㈜포스코케미칼 대표이사 등 30여 명이 참석한 가운데 내년 초 공장 착공을 목표로 2024년까지 6,000억 원을 투자해 영일만4 일반산업단지 내 122,100㎡(37,000평)의 부지에 이차전지 양극재 생산공장 건립을 추진하기로 합의했다.
