POSTECH 학생 창업 기업, 2021 과기특성화대 공동창업경진대회 ‘대상’ 수상

포항강소특구 이노폴리스캠퍼스 사업단(단장 POSTECH 산학협력단 김상우)은 최근 진행된 ‘2021년 과학기술특성화대학 공동창업경진대회’에서 POSTECH 학생이 창업한 티센바이오팜(대표 한원일)팀과 DeepLe(디플, 대표 박중우)팀이 각각 대상(과학기술정보통신부 장관상)과 장려상을 수상했다고 16일 밝혔다.

5개 과기특성화대(POSTECH, DGIST, GIST, KAIST, UNIST)가 공동 주최·주관하는 이 대회는 대학(원)생이 기술창업에 기반해 투자를 유치하는 IR 경진대회다. 포항강소특구 이노폴리스캠퍼스 사업에서는 티센바이오팜과 디플이 참가해, 우수한 기술력과 성장 가능성을 인정받았다.

 

대상을 수상한 티센바이오팜은 POSTECH 융합생명공학부 통합과정 한원일 씨가 주축이 된 예비창업팀으로, 인공장기 개발자들이 맞춤형 배양육과 배양육 스마트팜을 개발하는 기업이다. 이 기업은 지난 11월 제1회 강소특구 혁신성장 IR 경진대회 ‘우수상’, GIF(글로벌 이노베이터 페스타) ‘대구광역시장상’, 제11회 POSTECH 과메기 창업경진대회 ‘대상(포스텍 총장상)’ 등을 수상한 바 있다.

이외에도 포항강소특구 이노폴리스캠퍼스 사업단은 총 60개의 예비창업가, 초기창업가 팀을 지원하며, 올해 신규 창업 17개, 일자리 창출 60명, 투자 유치 연계 59억 원 이상의 성과를 달성하는 등 기술창업 생태계 조성과 지역경제 발전을 위한 다양한 지원 프로그램을 운영하고 있다.

 

김상우 포항강소특구 이노폴리스캠퍼스 사업단장은 “포항강소특구 이노폴리스캠퍼스 사업의 차별성이라고 할 수 있는 기술개발 단계별 전주기 맞춤형 지원 프로그램이 실제 창업에서 좋은 성과로 이어진다는 것을 확인했다”며 “포항 강소연구개발특구를 중심으로 영남권 기술창업허브를 조성해 지역 미래 신산업 육성과 양질의 일자리 창출에 기여하겠다”고 말했다.

 

한편, 지난해 3월 ‘2020년 강소특구 이노폴리스캠퍼스 사업’에 선정된 포항강소특구 이노폴리스캠퍼스 사업은 미래 사회를 선도하고 국가 경제 발전에 기여할 유망 스타트업 육성을 목표로 한다. 창의적 아이디어와 기술력을 보유한 (예비)창업자를 발굴해 실전 창업 교육부터 아이디어 고도화·검증, 시제(작)품 제작 지원, 법인 설립·투자유치 연계에 이르는 창업 전주기 지원 프로그램 등을 수행하고 있다.
