포스코노동조합 (한국노총 금속연맹)이 연말을 맞아 23일  포항시 남구 송도동에서 연탄 배달 봉사활동을 펼쳤다.

이날 김경석 위원장을 비롯한 포스코노동조합 상무집행위원 15명은 송도동에 거주하는 취약 계층 가정 2곳을 방문해 연탄을 전달했다.

코로나19 팬데믹으로 몸도 마음도 지쳐가는 시기에 이웃에게 따뜻한 겨울을 선물하기 위해 노동조합 상무집행위원들은 연탄 1,500장을 직접 집 안까지 배달했다.

같은 날 포스코노동조합은 송도동 행정복지센터에서 라면 100박스도 함께 전달했다. 이날 전달된 라면은 추후 송도동 취약 계층에게 전달될 예정이다.

김경석 포스코노동조합 위원장은 "포스코노동조합은 '모행터(모두가 행복한 일터 만들기)' 활동을 통해 지역사회와 상생하는 노동조합을 만들고자 노력하고 있으며, 제철소 인근 지역과 꾸준한 소통 및 연대 활동을 통해 사회적 책임을 다하는 노동조합으로 거듭나겠다"라는 의지를 표현했다.

향후 포스코노동조합은 직원들의 권익보호와 함께 지역사회와 상생하는 다양한 사회 공헌활동을 펼쳐, 바람직한 노동조합의 표본이 되도록 노력할 예정이다.
