대구장애인차별철폐연대 등 13개 단체가 23일 대구 동구청 앞에서 청암재단 장애인 인권침해시설 폐쇄조치를 요구하며 무기한 천막농성 투쟁에 돌입한다.

이날 단체는 결의대회를 열고 지속적으로 반복되고 있는 청암재단 장애인거주시설 인권침해 문제의 근본적인 해결과 장애인의 지역사회 자립생활 권리 쟁취를 위한 투쟁을 선포했다.

이들은 "2005년 시설 정상화와 2015년 탈시설 선언, 2018년 시설폐지 선언 이후에도 여전히 변하지 않고 있는 청구재활원과 천혜요양원 시설의 현실에 무거운 책임감을 느낀다" 며 "근원적인 해결을 위해 동구청과 대구시, 정부 및 국회에 장애인 인권침해시설 폐쇄와 탈시설 추진을 위한 적극적인 조치를 요구하고자 한다"고 말했다.
