2022년 희망찬 새해가 밝았습니다.

긴 시간 인내와 희생으로 코로나19 팬데믹의 고비를 함께 넘겨주신 구미시민들께 깊은 위로와 감사를 드립니다. 그 노고에 힘입어 우리 구미는 버텨냈고, 소중한 일상을 지킬 수 있었습니다. 방역과 백신 접종에 함께해 주신 모든 분들에게 진심으로 감사의 말씀을 드립니다.

임인년(壬寅年)에는 검은 호랑이의 용맹한 기상과 기운으로 우리 구미가 힘차게 포효하길 기원합니다. 모두에게 희망과 기쁨이 넘치는 한 해가 되기를 진심으로 바랍니다. 

지난해는 새로운 구미의 해법을 찾기 위해 고군분투한 한 해였습니다. 방역과 민생의 균형을 위해 전력을 쏟았고, 삶의 방식과 산업 체계를 바꾸기 위해 뼈를 깎는 노력을 기울였습니다. 덕분에 산업구조 재편으로 혁신 산업단지 재도약의 발판을 마련했고, 통합신공항 시대를 열어갈 준비도 차근차근 해나가고 있습니다. 역대 최대 규모의 지방교부세를 확보했고, 2022년도 예산 1조 5,060억원 시대도 열었습니다. 어려운 가운데 16개사 1조 7,172억 원의 투자유치로 괄목할 만한 성과도 거두었습니다.

새로운 한 해에도 구미시가 해야 할 일은 분명합니다. 무엇보다 시민들께 일상을 돌려드리기 위해 최선을 다할 것입니다. 위드코로나 시대를 열어가는 일상회복 지원과 안정적인 방역체계를 구축하는 한편, 기후 위기에 대응한 탄소중립 삶터를 조성하겠습니다. 첨단 디지털 시대를 이끄는 미래형 산업구조의 대전환과 수출 300억 불 달성으로 G-이코노미 재도약의 기틀을 마련하는데 모든 역량을 집중해 나가겠습니다. 

올해는 국가적으로나, 우리 구미에 있어 매우 중차대한 시깁니다. 대선을 통해 새 정부가 들어서고, 민선 7기를 잘 마무리해 유종의 미를 거두어야 합니다. 역점적으로 추진해 온 구미형 일자리가 정부 상생형 지역일자리로 선정된 만큼 차질 없이 추진되어야 합니다. 아직 많은 숙제들이 남아 있습니다.

저는 올해도 구미시민들의 뜻을 겸허히 받들고 안정적인 시정에 최선을 다할 것입니다. 남은 임기 동안 흔들림 없이 시정을 이끌어 시민 여러분과의 약속을 끝까지 지켜나갈 것입니다. 시민여러분의 무거운 짐을 나눠지겠습니다. 지금까지처럼 시정에 변함없는 관심과 애정 어린 질책을 부탁드립니다.

Last year was a year in which we struggled to find new European and American solutions. We put all our efforts into preventing quarantine and balancing people's livelihoods, and we put forth a bone-chilling effort to change the way of life and the industrial system. Thanks to this, we have laid the foundation for a new leap forward in an innovative industrial complex through the reorganization of the industrial structure, and we are step by step preparations to usher in the era of an integrated new airport. We secured the largest local subsidy tax ever, and ushered in the era of the 2022 budget of 1.56 trillion won. In the midst of difficult times, we also achieved remarkable results by attracting investments of KRW 1.71 trillion from 16 companies.

In the new year, it is clear what Gumi-si has to do. Above all, we will do our best to return the daily life to the citizens. We will support daily recovery and establish a stable quarantine system to usher in the With Corona era, while creating a carbon-neutral living space in response to the climate crisis.

We will focus all our capabilities on laying the groundwork for a new leap forward in the G-economy by achieving a major transformation of the future-oriented industrial structure that leads the cutting-edge digital era and achieving $30 billion in exports.

This year is a very important time for us both nationally and in Europe and America. A new government should be established through the presidential election, and the seventh term of the popular election should be successfully completed to reap the enduring beauty. As the Gumi-type jobs, which have been promoted emphatically, have been selected as the government's win-win regional jobs, they should be promoted without any setbacks. There is still a lot of homework to be done.

This year too, I will humbly follow the will of the citizens of Gumi and do my best for stable city administration.

During the remainder of my term of office, I will continue to lead the municipal administration and keep my promise to the citizens until the end. We will share the heavy burden of citizens. As before, we ask for your unwavering interest in and loving rebuke to the municipal administration.
