포스코는 25일 메타버스 플랫폼 제페토(ZEPETO)에 Park1538 지도(맵)를 개관했다고 밝혔다.

제페토는 네이버 제트가 만든 메타버스 플랫폼이다. 증강현실(AR) 아바타를 이용해 사람들과 교류하고, 게임이나 콘텐츠를 즐길 수 있어, MZ세대를 중심으로 전 세계 2억명이 이용하는 대표 메타버스 플랫폼으로 부상하고 있다.

전국적인 코로나19 확산세로 인해 Park1538 방문이 어려운 가운데, 포스코는 시민들이 언제, 어디서든 쉽게 Park1538의 콘텐츠를 만나볼 수 있도록 Virtual Park1538을 조성했다.

제페토 Park1538 맵은 수변공원, 역사박물관, 홍보관, 명예의 전당 등 Park1538 내 주요 관람 스폿과 주요 콘텐츠를 구현했다.

수변공원을 중심으로 Park1538의 조경과 풍경을 만끽할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 박태준 명예회장이 포항제철소 건설을 지휘했던 건설 사무소 '롬멜 하우스', 현존하는 국내 용광로 중 제일 오래된 '구 삼화제철소 고로' 등 포스코 역사박물관에서만 만나볼 수 있었던 사료도 가상현실에서 만나볼 수 있다.

홍보관 내의 다양한 콘텐츠도 메타버스 상에서 재현되었다. 홍보관 외부에 위치한 론 아라드(Ron Arad)의 조형 작품 '인피니턴(Infiniturn)' 부터, 사람의 움직임에 반응하는 키네틱 아트 작품 '철의 감성', 포스코의 현황을 만나 볼 수 있는 포스코 라이브 등이 구현됐다. 조강생산량 850만톤 종합 준공탑과 포스코를 빛낸 철강인들의 얼굴과 업적을 담은 명예의 전당도 만나볼 수 있다.
