김 의원에 따르면 이번에 확보한 특별교부세는 총 2개 사업, 7억원으로 △천마저수지 둘레길 조성사업(현안) 3억원 △동빈교 보수공사(재난안전) 4억원이다.
지역현안인 천마저수지 둘레길 조성사업은 환경친화적인 수변 둘레길 조성을 통해 자연과 도시가 조화를 이루는 도시경관을 조성하는 사업이다. 둘레길 조성을 통해 흥해읍과 장량동 주민들에게 여가공간을 제공하고 인근 환호공원, 죽천해수욕장, 수리소류지 등과 연계한 관광벨트화로 지역경제 활성화에도 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
또한 재난안전사업인 동빈교 보수공사는 정밀안전진단 결과 하부구조 침하가 확인돼 종합안전등급 D등급을 받은 동빈교를 보수·보강하는 사업으로 재난을 사전에 예방하는 의미가 있다.
김정재 의원은 “이번에 확보한 특별교부세를 통해 지역 주민이 좀 더 안전하고 행복한 삶을 누릴 수 있을 것으로 기대한다”면서 “앞으로도 주민 목소리에 귀 기울여 주민의 안전하고 행복한 삶을 위해 필요한 예산 확보를 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
