p-tech 청년들은 평일에는 현장에서 일을 하고 토요일은 하루 종일 대학에 가서 공부를 하면서 치열하게 살아가는 대구의 청년들이다. 

이들은 일과 학습을 함께 하느라 연애 할 시간조차 없고, 일요일에는 피곤함에 지쳐 하루 종일 잠만 자는 것이 현실이라고 어려움을 토로했다. 

이주여성들은 짧게는 15년, 길게는 20년 넘게 이미 한국에서 살아가고 있음에도 여전히 차별과 혐오 속에 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다고 호소했다. 

특히 생명과 직결된 의료 부분에 있어서는 높은 치료비 부담과 함께, 언어적인 문제로 제대로 된 치료를 받기조차 어려운 것이 현실임을 토로하며 제2의료원을 포함한 공공의료가 강화되고, 차별금지법이 제정되어 본인들이 겪고 있는 이런 문제들이 자신들의 아이들은 겪지 않을 수 있도록 해줄 것을 요청했다.

한민정 후보는 이번 만남을 통해 “그동안 정의당과 저 한민정이 소외받고 주목받지 못하는 우리 이웃들을 위한 여러 활동들을 펼쳐 왔지만 힘이 부족했다. 죄송하다. 앞으로 시민분들께 더 다가가고 더 노력하겠다. 그래서 모두가 함께 살맛나는 대구를 저 한민정이 반드시 만들겠다”고 약속했다.
