【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도는 27일 경주 화백컨벤션센터에서 도와 시군 지진피해 시설물 위험도 평가단 100여명을 대상으로 지진피해 시설물 위험도 평가방법에 대한 교육을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

도에 따르면 우리나라의 지진발생은 디지털 관측(‵99 ~ ‵21년)이래로 규모 2.0이상 총 1623건이며, 그 중 경북과 동해안 일대에 발생한 지진은 670건으로 전체 발생건수의 약 41%를 차지하고 있어 예측 불가능한 지진에 대한 대비가 요구된다.

지진피해 시설물 위험도 평가단은 지진으로 피해 발생한 경우 시설물에 대한 신속한 위험도 평가로 도민의 안전을 도모하기 위해 구조, 건축, 항만, 교량 등 각계 전문가로 구성됐다.

이번 교육을 시작으로 지진 대응 역량 강화를 위해 매년 실시할 예정이다.

교육 내용으로는 지진에 대한 기본 이론과 경주와 포항 지진의 피해·복구 사례, 시설물 위험도 평가 방법 및 현장 사례를 기반으로 이론과 현장 경험을 알기 쉽게 설명했다.

이날 교육은 박병철 국립재난안전연구원 지진방재센터장(이하 박병철 센터장)을 초빙해 진행했다. 박병철 센터장은 국민안전처 대형복합재난협업담당관과 행정안전부 지진방재관리과장을 역임하면서, 지진피해 시설물 위험도 평가 및 지진방재관리에 관한 정책을 총괄 한 바 있다.

김중권 경북도 재난안전실장은 “이번 교육을 통해 예측할 수 없는 지진을 대비해 지진 발생 시 신속한 시설물의 안전성을 평가하고, 여진 등으로 인한 추가 피해 예방을 위한 실무역량을 높일 수 있는 계기가 될 것”이라고 밝혔다.

The training was conducted by inviting Park Byeong-cheol, director of the National Institute of Disaster and Safety Earthquake Disaster Prevention Center (hereafter, Park Byeong-cheol). Park Byeong-cheol, the director of the Center, was in charge of large-scale complex disaster cooperation at the Ministry of Public Safety and Security and the head of the earthquake disaster prevention management section of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security.

Kim Jung-kwon, head of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Disaster and Safety Office, said, “This training will provide an opportunity to quickly evaluate the safety of facilities in case of an earthquake in preparation for an unpredictable earthquake, and to increase practical capabilities to prevent further damage due to aftershocks, etc.” said.
