【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도는 지난해에 이어 올해도 이달 15일부터 내달 16일까지 여름철 물놀이 특별대책기간으로 정하고 물놀이 안전관리를 추진한다고 밝혔다.

특히 지역 하천, 계곡 등 물놀이 관리지역 232개소와 위험구역 32개소에 대해 물놀이 안전과 코로나19 방역 특별점검을 실시한다.

올해는 사회적 거리두기 해제(4월 18일) 이후 감소세를 보이던 도내 코로나19 확진자가 최근 1000명대를 넘어 재유행 양상을 보여 물놀이 안전관리뿐 아니라 코로나19 방역 특별점검도 실시할 방침이다.

도는 이번 점검을 위해 사회재난과장을 총괄로 4개반 13명의 특별점검반을 구성했다.

주요 점검 사항은 물놀이 안전시설 정비‧설치 현황, 안전지킴이 확보‧배치 현황, 코로나19 방역관리 방안 등이다.

물놀이 안전관리 및 코로나19 방역 전반에 대한 표본점검을 실시하고 미흡한 부분에 대해선 지속적인 추적‧관리를 실시할 예정이다.

또 시군 해당부서에 자체 수시점검을 독려해 피서객들이 여름철 안전한 환경에서 물놀이 안전사고와 코로나19 감염 걱정 없이 즐길 수 있도록 할 방침이다.

김중권 경북도 재난안전실장은 “매년 물놀이 안전사고로 안타까운 인명피해가 발생하고 있다. 피서객 개개인이 구명조끼 착용, 위험구역 입수금지 등 안전수칙을 준수해 안전사고 없이 물놀이를 즐기시기를 바란다”며, “도는 지속적인 안전관리로 물놀이 인명피해 예방을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
