재난 예방 및 안전의식 고취를 위해 중앙부처·지자체· 국민이 함께 참여하는 사회적 안전 운동 성격의 국가안전대진단은 지난 2015년에 도입되었다.

올해 대진단 대상은 중앙부처 위임시설물 14개소와 '중대재해처벌법'시행에 따른 중대 시민 재해 분야 관련 시설물 35개를 포함한 49개 시설물이다.

앞서 시는 지난 16일까지 점검이 필요하다고 생각하는 소규모 생활 밀집 시설에 대해 주민들의 신청을 받았다. 선정된 시설은 대진단 기간 내 전문가와 유관기관 등과 함께 안전 점검에 나설 예정이다.

진단 결과 경미한 사항은 즉시 시정하고, 추가 진단이 필요한 사항은 정밀 안전진단 실시, 보수·보강 등 후속 조치를 주기적으로 확인하고 체계적으로 이력 관리를 할 계획이다.

조현일 경산시장은 “코로나19 재확산으로 힘든 시기지만, 생활 속 위험 요소를 사전에 발견해 안전사고를 예방할 수 있도록 모든 시민이 적극적으로 참여해 줄 것”을 당부했다.
