【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=경일대학교(총장 정현태) 스포츠단 수영부가 ‘제71회 회장배 전국수영대회’에서 종합 준우승을 했다.

 대한수영연맹 회장배로 개최된 이번 대회는 지난 20일부터 22일까지 울산광역시 문수 수영장에서 경영, 다이빙, 수구, 아티스틱스위밍을 종목으로 채택해 초등, 중학, 고등, 일반부로 구분하여 경기를 진행했다.

울산광역시수영연맹이 주관한 이번 대회에서 경일대 수영부는 경영에 참여해 금메달 4개, 은메달 2개, 동메달 1개로 종합 준우승을 차지했다. 

조재민 선수는 배영 50m 및 100m에서 금메달 2개, 이영민 선수는 평영 100m에서 금메달 1개, 양재혁 선수는 접영 50m 및 100m에서 은메달 2개, 이성호 선수는 자유형 50m에서 동메달 1개를 수상했다. 

단체전은 조재민, 이영민, 양재혁, 이성호 선수가 계영 400m에서 금메달을 수상했다.

경일대 수영부 감독인 권재열 교수는 “선수들의 기량에 맞춰 지속적인 선수 관리와 훈련으로 꾸준히 성적이 오르고 있다”라며 “앞으로도 기량 향상에 집중해 조금씩 성적을 올려나갈 생각”이라고 밝혔다.

In this competition hosted by the Ulsan Metropolitan City Swimming Federation, the Gyeongil University swimming team participated in management and took the overall runner-up with 4 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal.

Jaemin Cho won two gold medals in the 50m and 100m backstroke, Youngmin Lee won one gold medal in the 100m breaststroke, Jaehyuk Yang won two silver medals in the 50m and 100m butterfly, and Seongho Lee won one bronze medal in the 50m freestyle.

In the team event, Jo Jae-min, Lee Young-min, Yang Jae-hyeok, and Lee Seong-ho won bronze medals in the 400m relay.

Professor Kwon Jae-yeol, the coach of Kyungil University's swimming team, said, "The results are steadily rising through continuous management and training of athletes in line with their skills.
