계명대는 28일부터 29일까지 성서캠퍼스 바우어관 일대에서 2022 동문선배와 함께하는 계명 멘토데이와 대구시가 주최하고 대구상공회의소가 주관하는 ‘2022 대학 리크루트 투어’행사 등 취업 준비생들을 위한 다채로운 프로그램을 개최했다.

‘2022 동문선배와 함께하는 계명 멘토데이’행사에는  공공기관을 비롯해 외국계, 유통, 금융, 제약, 언론 등 다양한 분야의 취업에 성공한 선배들이 학교를 찾아 후배들에게 취업성공 스토리와 전략 등 노하우를 전수해 주는 시간으로 진행되었다.

29일에 열린 2022 대학리크루트 투어는 34개의 지역 유망기업체들이 참가해 채용상담과 정보를 제공하고, 취업 트렌드 및 팁을 공유하는 등 취업을 준비하는 학생들에게 실질적인 도움을 지원했다.

특히 참가업체의 인사담당자와 1대1 현장면접을 통해 채용이 그 자리에서 바로 이루어지기도 했다. 양일간 진행된 이번 취업 행사에는 5,200여 명의 학생 및 지역청년들이 몰리며 큰 호응이 이어졌다.

김호일 학생(광고홍보학전공 4학년)은 “지난 3년 간 코로나19로 인해 취업의 문도 좁아진 것 같고, 준비하는데 정보를 얻기도 힘들어 취업준비라는 게 너무 막연했다.”며 “이번 취업행사로 인해 지금까지 준비해 온 것들을 점검하고 최신 정보들을 통해 어떻게 준비해야 할지 명확해 지는 것 같아서 괜히 희망이 생기는 것 같다.”라며 소감을 밝혔다.
