이어 "동구청의 어느 누구도 먼저 사업 종료에 따른 대안을 이야기하지 않았으며 현실적인 구체적 대책도 제시하지 않았다." 며 "8월과 9월에 담당 공무원들을 만났지만 돌아오는 대답은 다른 시설에 가거나 주간활동 서비스를 이용하라고 했다"고 주장했다.

그러면서 "동구청이 말하는 이런 대안들은 현실적이지 못하고 무책임하다."며 "장애인 가족들의 돌봄 부담을 완화하기 위한 목적으로 시작한 이 사업을 다른 대안없이 종료하는 것은 결국 발달장애인에 대한 돌봄을 가족에게 전적으로 부담을 지게하는 것"이라고 덧붙였다.

장애인시간제활동센터 마실 부모모임 서민정씨는"가장 보호받아야 마땅한 우리 장애인들을 동구청은 오히려 벼랑 끝으로 내몰고 있다."며" 제발 눈에 번쩍이는 사업보다 사람 살리는 일에 앞장서 주시길 바란다"고 말했다.
