이날 특강에 앞서 기자들을 만난 김 의원은 차기 당 대표 후보 중 유 전 의원이 계속 선두 달리고 있는 여론조사에 대한 입장을 묻는 질문에 “유승민 전 의원도 인지도 면에서 굉장히 폭넓어 여론조사에서는 그런 결과가 나올 수 있다.”고 했다.
