27일 오전 11시 대구지방검찰청 앞에서 민생파탄 검찰독재 규탄대회를 개최한 더불어민주당 경북도당은 “경제와 민생에 무능하고 무책임하고 무대책인 3무 정권을 규탄한다.”고 밝히며 강하게 비판에 나섰다.

앞서 검찰은 더불어민주당 이재명 대표의 최측근 김용 민주연구원 부원장을 긴급체포하고 자택을 압수수색한데 이어 민주당 중앙당사와 민주연구원에 대한 압수수색을 시도했다. 

이에 더불어민주당이 국정감사를 전면 중단하고 당사에 집합해 검찰의 압수수색에 강하게 반발하면서 사태는 일단락되는 듯 하였으나 닷새 만에 검찰이 또 다시 압수수색에 나서면서 갈등은 고조되었다.

이와 같은 검찰과 민주당 간 갈등을 두고 정치 탄압과 법치주의 훼손이라는 주장이 첨예하게 대립하는 가운데 더불어민주당 경북도당은 “지금이라도 야당 탄압과 정치 보복을 일삼는 행태 즉각 중지하라.”고 밝히며 목소리를 높였다.

민주당 경북도당은 “지금은 민생경제를 살려야 할 때”라면서 “사상 초유의 고물가, 고금리, 고환율인데 감사원과 검찰을 앞세워서 야당 탄압과 정치보복은 그토록 신속하게 움직이던 윤석열 정부는 금융위기 해결에는 왜 이렇게 무능하고 무책임한 것인가?”라며 꼬집었다.

그러면서 “민주당은 싸우면서 일하겠다. 윤석열 정부가 자신들의 무능과 무지와 무책임을 야당 탄압으로 감추려고 한들 국민들은 알고 있다.”며 “야당을 향한 칼질을 멈추시고 국민 민생경제를 살리기 위한 길에 앞장서 달라.”며 거듭 강조했다.
