【브레이크뉴스 안동】이성현 기자=안동시의회 의원 및 직원들이 영농철 일손부족으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 지역 농가를 위해 팔을 걷어붙였다.

1일, 안동시의회에 따르면 지난 10월 31일 권기익 의장을 비롯한 시의원, 의회사무국 직원 등 30여 명이 안동시 도산면 태자리에 위치한 과수농가를 방문해 사과 수확에 일손을 보탰다고 밝혔다.

이날 농촌일손돕기 활동은 인건비 상승 등 농촌에 노동력 부족이 심화하는 상황에서 수확철을 맞은 지역 사과농가를 돕기 위해 마련됐다.

현장에 함께한 권기익 의장은 “작은 도움이지만 지역농가에 조금이나마 보탬이 될 수 있어 보람을 느낀다”며 “앞으로도 지역농업에 대한 지속적인 관심을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.
