건협-전북대, 캄보디아 프렉프노우 비전염성질환 예방 캠페인 개최

【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자= 한국건강관리협회(회장 김인원, 이하 건협)는 전북대학교(총장 김동원)와 함께 ‘캄보디아 프렉프노우 지역주민 비전염성질환 예방 캠페인’을 개최했다고 26일 밝혔다.

세계 당뇨병의 날을 맞이해 진행된 이번 캠페인은 프렉프노우 지역주민의 자기주도적 건강관리를 위한 지속가능한 환경을 조성하기 위해 마련됐다.

 

건협은 비전염성질환 예방관리 정보와 건강생활실천을 위한 개인ㆍ단체 야외활동을 제공하고 프렉프노우 지역주민을 대상으로 보건인식 개선 교육과 건강생활실천 활동을 지원했다. 

 

또 캠페인 활동 물품을 제공하여 지역주민의 적극적인 참여를 독려했다.

 

이날 캠페인에는 KOICA 캄보디아 사무소장, 월드뱅크 컨설턴트팀, 현지 정부 관계자, 지역주민 1,000명 등이 참여했으며, 현지 언론취재가 이뤄지는 등 지역사회의 주목을 받았다.

 

캄보디아 보건부 Nhem Soph Eoun 비서실장은 “ 비점염성질환 예방관리 교육, 건강생활실천 활동 등을 지원해준 한국건강관리협회와 전북대학교에 감사하며, 캄보디아 프렉프노우 지역의 비전염성질환 유병률 감소를 위해 보건부도 협력하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

 

건협 김인원 회장은 “현지 비전염성질환 예방관리 활동 지원을 통해 보건인식을 개선하고, 지역주민의 자기주도적 건강관리 능력을 향상시켜 비전염성질환 유병률 감소에 기여할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다.”고 말했다.

Nhem Soph Eoun, Secretary General of the Ministry of Health of Cambodia, said, “I am grateful to the Korea Health Care Association and Chonbuk National University for supporting non-infectious disease prevention and management education and healthy living practice activities, and the Ministry of Health also cooperates to reduce the prevalence of non-communicable diseases in Prekpnow, Cambodia. I will,” he said.

 

Kim In-won, chairman of Kunhyup, said, “We will actively support to contribute to the reduction of the prevalence of non-communicable diseases by improving health awareness through support for local non-communicable disease prevention and management activities and improving the self-directed health management ability of local residents.”
