더불어민주당 경북도당이 내년도 국비예산 확보 과정에서 임미애 도당위원장을 중심으로 우원식 국회 예결위원장과 박정 민주당 예결위 간사 등과 수차례 간담회를 갖고 예산 반영을 위한 협의를 진행했다.

이러한 노력을 통해 지난해 10조 175억원보다 9,339억원이 증가한 10조 9,514억원을 확보해 역대 최대 성과를 거둔 것으로 평가되고 있다.

경북도당에 따르면 “지역화폐 예산 3,525억원을 전격적으로 반영하고 공공임대주택 6,630억원 증액, 쌀값안정 예산 401억원 증액, 어르신 효도예산 988억원이 증액됐다”며 “그동안 국민의힘이 반대해오던 민주당의 민생예산이 여야 합의로 이번 국회 본회의를 통과해 서민들이 2023년을 따뜻하게 맞이할 수 있게 됐다”고 밝혔다.

특히, 내년도 농업예산도 전략작물직불 401억, 농식품바우처 59억, 임대형스마트팜 30억이 증액된데 이어 정부안에 없던 차세대농림통합정보시스템구축에 42억원, 대구도매시장긴급시설개선 34억원, 산업식품용 대마산업 12억5천만원 등이 신규 반영된 총 17조 3,574억원으로 올해보다 2.8% 증가해 농가들이 한숨을 돌리게 됐다. 

또 지난 9월29일 ‘더불어민주당 2022년도 경상북도 예산정책협의회’에서 고향사랑기부제 등 4개 주요현안과 ‘차세대 모빌리티 반도체 클러스터’, ‘헴프 스마트팜 재배단지 조성’, ‘탄소중립형 산업화 기반조성사업’ 등 34개 사업에 국비 증액을 적극 요청하여 2,481억원이 증액되는 성과도 거두었다.

이에 경북도는 중앙선복선전철화(도담~영천) 2,572억원, 포항영덕간 고속도로 2,771억원을 비롯해 백신글로벌 산업화기업지원 64억원, 혁신밸리 임대형 스마트팜 70억원, 신라왕경 타임머신 플랫폼 구축 90억원 등 SOC, R&D, 문화관광 분야에 총 10조 9,514억원을 확보해 역대 최대 규모 성과를 거두었다.

임미애 도당위원장은 “소멸위기에 처한 경북은 지역화폐, 쌀값안정 예산확보가 매우 절박한데 이번 국회에 반영되어 참으로 다행.”이라고 밝히며 “향후 예산 집행 과정 또한 면밀히 지켜보면서 앞으로도 도민들의 민생과 경북의 발전을 위해 최선을 다 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
