【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=경북대학교가 ‘2023년 지식재산 전문인력양성 중점대학’ 사업 최종 선정소식을 전했다.

23일 대학에 따르면 특허청과 한국발명진흥회가 주관하는 지식재산 전문인력양성 중점대학 사업은 IP중점대학을 통해 지방의 지식재산 전문인력 부족 현상을 해소하기 위해 권역별 산업특성을 반영한 특화된 지식재산 전문인력 육성을 목표로 하고 있다.

대구·경북권역 사업 수행 기관으로 선정된 경북대는 5년간 약 46억9천만 원의 사업비(국비 35.5억원, 대응자금 11.4억원)를 투입해 지역특화 지식재산 전문인재양성 체계를 구축·운영하게 된다. 

이를 위해 경북대는 지식재산사업단(가칭, 단장 김상현)을 설립하고 학부에 지식재산융합전공, 대학원에 지식재산융합과를 신설해 지식재산 전문인재양성 체계를 구축할 예정이다.

아울러 경북대가 총괄대학으로 참여하는 대구·경북지역혁신플랫폼(RIS)과 유기적 협력을 통해 대구경북혁신대학(DGM)에 공동교육과정을 개설하고 지역 23개 대학 간 학점교류를 추진할 방침이다.

특히 지역 주력산업인 전자정보기기와 미래차전환부품을 중심으로 전문인력양성 과정을 구성하고 산학협력 프로젝트를 수행하는 등 산학연계를 통한 사업 효과를 극대화할 계획이다. 

이와 함께 기업체 맞춤교육, 시민체험 등 권역 내 대학·기관·기업·고교에 지식재산 교육 확산을 위한 다양한 활동도 추진해 지역에 지식재산 생태계 조성을 위해 노력한다.

사업단장인 김상현 교수는 “이번 사업을 통해 경북대는 대구·경북지역 전략 사업에 기술혁신 기반의 지식재산을 창출하고 보호할 수 있는 역량을 갖춘 지식재산 전문인력을 양성해 기업의 혁신과 지속가능성을 위한 중심대학으로 발돋움할 것”이라고 밝혔다.

To this end, Kyungpook National University plans to establish an Intellectual Property Project Group (tentative name, head Sang-Hyeon Kim), establish an Intellectual Property Convergence Major in the undergraduate school, and an Intellectual Property Convergence Department in the graduate school to build a system for fostering intellectual property experts.

In addition, through organic cooperation with the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Regional Innovation Platform (RIS), which Kyungpook National University participates in as a university, it plans to open a joint curriculum at Daegu Gyeongbuk Innovation University (DGM) and promote credit exchange between 23 universities in the region.

In particular, it plans to maximize business effects through industrial-educational linkages by organizing professional manpower training courses and carrying out industry-university cooperation projects, focusing on electronic information devices and future car conversion parts, which are the main industries of the region.

In addition, various activities to spread intellectual property education to universities, institutions, companies, and high schools in the region, such as corporate customized education and citizen experience, are also promoted to create an intellectual property ecosystem in the region.

Professor Kim Sang-hyun, head of the project, said, “Through this project, Kyungpook National University will nurture intellectual property experts with the capacity to create and protect intellectual property based on technological innovation in strategic projects in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, and thus create a foundation for corporate innovation and sustainability.
