또한 미세먼지 감소 및 탄소흡수원 조성등 산림의 공익적 기능을 극대화한 탄소저감조림 5ha와 지역 내 특색 있는 경관을 조성하기 위한 지역특화조림 2ha도 조성 할 계획이다.

식재 수종으로는 자작나무, 낙엽송, 편백나무, 잣나무,산벚나무, 특용수(음나무, 옻나무) 등 총 7종이다.

청송군은 봄철 조림 수종이 건강하게 활착할 수 있도록 조림 적기인 4월 말까지 식재를 완료할 계획이며, 이후 풀베기, 덩굴제거, 어린나무가꾸기 등을 통한 사후관리를 지속적으로 시행하여 숲을 가꾸어 갈 계획이다.

윤경희 청송군수는 “기후 변화에 따른 대응 및 펠릿 등 목재 수요 증가에 따라 조림사업을 추진하여 청송군 산림을 양적, 질적으로 발전시켜 핵심 자원으로 육성할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
