지난 2015년 처음 도입된 한국형 온라인 공개강좌(K-MOOC)는 교육부와 국가평생교육진흥원이 대학, 기관 등의 우수한 온라인 강의를 일반인에게 무료 수강할 수 있도록 개발한 서비스이다.

최근 교육부와 국가평생교육진흥원은 한국형 온라인 공개강좌 선정 결과를 발표하고 3단계 무크선도대학 총 15개교를 선정했다.

이번에 선정된 무크선도대학은 앞으로 3년간 대학의 인프라를 기반으로 반도체, 인공지능(AI), 딥러닝 등 신기술·신사업 분야 및 특성화 분야 강좌를 개발해 공개할 예정으로 대구대는 2016년 무크선도대학, 2020년 2단계 무크선도대학 선정에 이어 올해 3단계 무크선도대학으로 연속 선정됐다.

이에 따라 3년간 총 10억 원의 국고를 지원받는 대구대는 사회복지, 특수교육, 재활, 보건 분야 및 정보보안, AI 등 신기술·신사업 분야의 높은 품질의 K-MOOC 강좌를 운영하고 2개 개별강좌를 추가로 개발할 예정이라고 전했다.

신규 강좌는 ▶K-드라마로 배우는 한국문화(양진오 문화예술학부 교수) ▶식품위생학(임무혁 식품공학과 교수) 등이다.

김민희 대구대 교육혁신원 원장은 “대구대는 대학의 특성 있는 양질의 강좌를 지속적으로 발굴하고 장애인 교육권 보장을 위해 노력하는 등 미래형 융복합 교육혁신을 실현하기 위해 앞으로도 최선의 노력을 다하겠다."고 말했다.
