【브레이크뉴스 안동】이성현 기자=안동시의회는 소속 의원들과 의회사무국 직원들이 경상북도 안전체험관 유치를 위한 릴레이 캠페인에 동참했다고 밝혔다.

26일 안동시의회에 따르면 이번 캠페인은 행정안전부의 1시도별 1안전체험관 건립을 목표로 미설치 지역 대상으로 공모 절차를 추진 중인 안전체험관을 도청 신도시에 유치하기 위해 실시하는 범시민 운동이다.

권기익 안동시의회의장은 “도내 균형발전을 도모하고, 안전소외 지역 해소를 위해 우리시에 꼭 필요한 시설”이라며 “도청 신도시는 교통 접근성이 우수하고 하회마을, 도산서원과 같은 풍부한 관광지와 연계해 운영할 수 있는 최적의 요건을 갖추고 있다”고 당위성을 밝혔다.
