시에 따르면 지난해 10월과 올해 5·6월 불금예찬 개장 당시 먹거리 9곳과 프리마켓 11곳에 일평균 3000여 명의 시민과 관광객들이 찾아오면서 경주의 새로운 관광코스로 떠올랐다.

올해 11월 4일까지 2달 간 열리는 이번 불금예찬은 매대와 메뉴를 재정비하는 등 지난 운영에서 아쉬웠던 부분들을 대폭 개선하면서, 경주 원도심 상권을 되살릴 해법으로 관심을 모으고 있다.

먼저 재개장 첫날인 8일에는 키다리아저씨, 버스킹공연, mc와 함께하는 레크리에이션 미니게임, 헬륨풍선 무료나눔 등 다양한 볼거리와 즐길거리로 시민과 관광객들의 눈길을 사로잡을 계획이다.
