【브레이크뉴스 】진예솔 기자=영진전문대학교(총장 최재영) LINC3.0 사업단이 ‘2023년도 캡스톤디자인(Capstone Design) 경진대회’를 개최했다고 22일 밝혔다.

캡스톤디자인(Capstone Design)은 산업 현장에서 부딪힐 수 있는 문제들을 해결할 수 있는 능력을 키우기 위한 것으로, 학생들이 팀을 구성해 작품을 기획, 설계, 제작하는 전 과정을 경험하며 실무 능력을 배양하는 교육 과정이다.

창의적 종합설계 능력을 갖춘 우수한 현장 전문가 양성을 위해 마련된 이번 대회는 정규 교과목으로 개설한 계열학과를 대상으로 진행된 가운데 20개 팀, 111명이 참가하며 뜨거운 관심이 이어졌다.

이 중 심사를 통해 우수작 11개가 선정되었으며 대상은 이야기꾼(Taleteller) 작품을 선보인 C&U팀(최연주·강병관·고건호·김정원·박순범·변성환, 컴퓨터정보계열, 3년)이 차지해 200만 원 상당의 시상품을 받았다.

‘이야기꾼(Taleteller)’은 아이를 둔 맞벌이 부모를 위한 동화책 제작 앱(App)으로 자녀에게 동화책을 직접 읽어주는 대신 챗 GPT와 관계/비관계형 데이터 관리를 활용, 간단한 키워드를 입력해 자동으로 동화를 작성, 아이에게 읽어주는 혁신적이고 실용적인 작품이다.

조도, 미세먼지, 빗물, 가스, 온습도센서 이용해 창문 주변의 환경을 감지하고 작동할 수 있는 자동창문(Automatic window)작을 출품한 25.67팀(이창현 등, 반도체전자계열, 2년)과 횡단보도 바닥에 LED를 설치해 차량이 달려오는 상황을 파악할 수 있게 한 스마트횡단보도 작으로 나만봐조팀(박준홍 등 반도체전자계열, 2년)이 최우수상을 수상했다.

이외에도 ‘유통기한 식별 알람용기’, ‘스마트 버스 승하차 제어  시스템’, ‘안전귀가 매립등’ 등 우리 생활과 밀접하면서도 톡톡 튀는 아이디어를 반영한 작품들이 우수작으로 입상했다.

영진전문대 LINC3.0 사업단은 캡스톤디자인 성과 확산과 교육 활성화, 우수사례 공유 등을 추진해 나갈 방침이다.

도한신 산학협력단 단장은 “캡스톤디자인 교과목을 활성화하고, 나아가 학생들의 창의적 설계 기술을 통하여 아이디어를 발굴하고, 발표 기회를 통해 취·창업 역량을 극대화할 수 있도록 적극적으로 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

'Taleteller' is a children's book production app for working parents with children. Instead of reading children's books directly, 'Taleteller' utilizes Chat GPT and relational/non-relational data management to automatically read fairy tales by entering simple keywords. It is an innovative and practical work to write and read to children.

Team 25.67 (Chang-Hyeon Lee, etc., semiconductor electronics, 2 years) submitted an automatic window that can detect and operate the environment around the window using illuminance, fine dust, rainwater, gas, temperature and humidity sensors, and the The Namanbajo team (Junhong Park, 2 years in the semiconductor electronics division, etc.) won the grand prize for their smart crosswalk project that installed LEDs to detect the situation of approaching vehicles.

In addition, works that reflect unique ideas that are close to our lives, such as ‘Expiration date identification alarm container’, ‘Smart bus boarding and disembarking control system’, and ‘Safe return landfill light’, were awarded as excellent works.

Youngjin College's LINC3.0 project group plans to spread the results of the capstone design, revitalize education, and share best practices.
