【브레이크뉴스 고령】이성현 기자=고령군(군수 이남철)은 한국지역경제학회와 한국지역경제연구원 주관 ‘2023년 대한민국 지역경제대상’ 종합평가에서 ‘종합대상’을 포함한 ‘3관왕’을 차지했다.

8일 고령군에 따르면 2023년 최초로 시행된 대한민국 지역경제대상에서 ‘종합대상으로전국 1위’, ‘투자유치 부문에서 은상’, ‘일자리 창출부문에서 우수상’을수상했다.

이번 평가에서 고령군은 청년 일자리/창업지원센터를 통해 지역 청년에 맞춤형 일자리를 제공하고, 투자유치 전담부서를 통해 친환경 청정에너지발전소 투자유치, 월성일반산업단지 조성 등지역경제성장을 위한 투자유치와 일자리 창출의노력을 인정받았다.

이남철 고령군수는 “앞으로도 대구권 배후도시로서 지방소멸의 위기를 극복하는 젊고 힘있는 고령군으로 거듭나기 위해 현재 진행 중인 현안사업들을 차질 없이 추진하여 지속 가능한 성장동력을 창출하겠다”라고 말했다.

한편 대한민국 지역경제대상은 한국지역경제학회와 한국지역경제연구원에서공동 주관으로 일자리 창출, 투자유치, 지방물가 등 9개 지표를 부문평가와 종합평가로 세분화하여 통계청, 관세청 등에서 공시한 객관적 자료를 토대로 산정평가해 228개 기초자치단체 중 각 부문별로 우수 지자체를 선정했다.

Goryeong-gun (Governor Lee Nam-cheol) won ‘three crowns’, including the ‘comprehensive grand prize’, in the comprehensive evaluation of the ‘2023 Korea Regional Economy Awards’ hosted by the Korea Regional Economic Association and the Korea Regional Economic Research Institute.

  In this evaluation, Goryeong-gun provides customized jobs to local youth through the Youth Job/Entrepreneurship Support Center, and attracts investments and creates jobs for local economic growth, such as attracting investment in eco-friendly clean energy power plants and creating Wolseong general industrial complex through an investment attraction department. Creation efforts were recognized.

  Goryeong-gun Mayor Lee Nam-cheol said, “We will continue to create sustainable growth engines by promoting ongoing projects without a hitch in order to be reborn as a young and powerful Goryeong-gun that overcomes the crisis of local extinction as a hinterland city in the Daegu area.”

  Meanwhile, the Korea Regional Economy Awards are jointly organized by the Korea Regional Economic Association and the Korea Regional Economic Research Institute, and are based on objective data announced by Statistics Korea, Korea Customs Service, etc. by subdividing 9 indicators, including job creation, investment attraction, and local prices, into sector evaluation and comprehensive evaluation. Through calculation and evaluation, excellent local governments in each sector were selected among 228 basic local governments.
