 이 의원은 “지난 보궐선거에서 79.78%라는 압도적인 지지를 보내주신 수성구 을 주민분들의 성원에 보답하고자 1년 8개월 동안 서울과 대구를 기차로 300여번 오가며 부지런히 발로 뛰는 의정활동을 펼쳤다.” 면서 “20년 숙원사업들의 물꼬를 튼 만큼, 중단없는 지역 발전은 물론 윤석열 정부의 성공을 위해 최선을 다하고자 한다.”는 포부를 밝히기도 했다. 

지난 2022년 재보궐선거로 국회에 입성한 이인선 의원은 1년 8개월의 짧은 임기에도 불구하고 예결위 활동을 병행하며 총사업비 551억 원 규모의 국비를 확보하는 한편, 누구도 해결 못한 20년 수성구민들의 숙원인 수성못 월드클래스 규모 수상공연장 사업을 확정했다. 특히, 끈질긴 국토부 설득으로 지산·범물지구의 노후계획 도시특별법 적용을 이끌어내는 가 하면, 118억원 규모의 행안부 특별교부세 및 교육부 특별교부금 확보, 소프트웨어 인재키움 사업, 장애인 복지 및 재활시설 증.개축 사업 , 목재친화도시 조성사업, 세계문화산업포럼 개최 등 지역구를 위한 굵직한 성과를 이뤄냈다. 

 국회에서는 1호 법안으로 대표 발의한 국가보훈처를 국가보훈부로 격상하는 내용의 정부조직법 개정안, 노령 가구의 부담을 덜어주는 소득세법 일부개정법률안 등을 대표 발의해 통과시켰으며, 미래세대를 위한 고준위방폐물법도 대표 발의해 주도적으로 추진하는 등 왕성한 원내 활동을 이어가고 있다.
