지난 24일 대구대에서 ‘대학 평생교육의 현황과 발전과제’를 주제로 제43차 정기총회 및 세미나를 개최한 영남평생교육학회는 이와 함께 진행된 신임 회장단 선거를 통해 양흥권 학장을 신임 회장으로 선출했다.

부회장으로는 김은영 경북인재평생교육진흥원 팀장과 노태일 경주시 평생교육사가 선임됐다. 감사는 최용화 학회 이사와 홍필남 전 포항시 의원이 맡게 됐다. 윤재섭 직전 회장은 명예회장으로 추대됐다.

양흥권 신임회장은 “1982년 국내 최초로 설립된 영남평생교육학회의 전통을 살려 대구·경북이 대한민국 평생교육의 메카로서의 역사적 전통을 이어나갈 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
