지난 3월 4일부터 5일까지 진행된 4.10 재·보궐선거 경북 공직후보자 추천 접수 결과 경북도의원(영양군) 선거구에는 5명, 의성군의원(의성군 다) 선거구에는 3명이 공천을 신청했다.

.경북도의원(영양군) 선거구의 후보는 구진회(남, 54세, 전 국민의힘 경북도당 부위원장), 오창옥(여, 62세, 전 영양군의회 부의장), 윤철남(남, 62세, 전 남해화학 경북북부지사장), 이종열(남, 61세, 전 경북도의회 의원), 전병호(남, 63세, 전 영양읍장) 등이다.
